The Jets have claimed 29-year old punter Glenn Pakulak off waivers from the Saints.  He played in 8 games (0 starts) for the Saints last season and he punted the ball 24 times for 1,144 yards (47.7 avg).  Pakulak downed 3 punts inside the opposing 20-yard line (12.5%) and he only had 2 touchbacks (8.3%) last season.  The Jets are not happy with the punting situation so Pakulak could win the starting job if he kicks well the next two weeks.

UPDATE:  The Jets have released Glenn Pakulak.  He punted the ball three times for 118 yards (39.3 avg) in two games for the Jets in the pre-season.  Reggie Hodges has retained his starting job with the Jets.
