The New York Jets played one of their worst football games in the last couple of seasons, but still had a chance late in the game to tie it up.  The Jets failed in their comeback attempt as the offense played a very poor football game.  Chad Pennington completed only 11 of 28 passes for 108 yards and 2 INT.  Leon Washington couldn’t find much running room as he carried the ball 15 times for 51 yards (3.4 ypc) and lost a fumble.  Kevan Barlow carried the ball 5 times for 16 yards (3.2 ypc).  WRs Jerricho Cotchery caught 5 passes for 43 yards and Laveranues Coles caught 4 passes for 40 yards.

The defense was led by linebacker Eric Barton who had 9 tackles and a sack.  The Jets had a hard time stopping the Browns from running the football, as the Browns ran the ball 39 times for 147 yards (3.8 ypc).  The Browns completed 15 of 22 passes for 120 net yards passing.

Justin Miller returned a kick-off 99 yards for the only Jets TD of the football game.
